Direct Perth - Narita flights on ANA from 1 September 2019

As the title says, these flights will start on 1/9/2019. This is certainly good news for Perth tourism hopes and will be welcomed by many people. The schedule will be 1110 Narita - 2015 Perth & 2145 - 0825 the other way. Plane will be the B787-8

I wonder how much this new service has cost WA taxpayers? Less than the $14M+ gifted to QF I would hope.

JL would have been a little better 'fit' with the OW tie up with QF.

The NH 788 scheduled is 9Y which is also a shame as JL would most likely have been 8Y.

It would appear that NH have yet to load any flights into their system for this NRT-PER v.v. service.

Now announced, you would think they would want to start selling seats ASAP.

ANA have their new A380s coming soon to start on the TYO-HNL route. These will displace 787-9s to other routes, promoting a movement of aircraft types around the network.

They might be delaying loading the PER flight into the GDS until they know that the A380s will available for operation when expected and confirm they have the planned PER aircraft available when they want it.

As someone who has very little experience with NH can you expand on that?
Is it only their 789 and if so what is the faults?

The J seat on NH 789.

Narrow and uncomfortable.couldn't sleep and a night flight.Was the sub for a 773 and we were on an F award.no F on the 789.
And this was my seat on the 773 from IAH-NRT.

The difference between F and J is huge.
