I have vauge memories of turning up at the airport in Darwin more than once with a TAA ticket and flying out on Ansett metal. For some reason I seem to recall that the two airlines used to take it in turns on which metal would be used, and everyone just got on the one plane regardless of ticketted carrier....of course I could be entirely wrong - but I'm sure I once flew Ansett as an UM with my TAA badges and name tag etc after having checked in at the TAA counters....this would have made it the late 70s or early 80s.

Certainly in the day TAA (in my case) would happily ticket you on to an Ansett flight if for some reason the TAA flight wasn't travelling. (Mechanical failure tec.) It was all done at the TAA counter and (if I recall correctly) it was an Ansett boarding pass printed by TAA. I'm sure the reciprocal was happening.

You would have had a TAA ticket whereby TN endorse the coupon to AN giving the latter authority for uplift. Of course the same could be done in reverse with AN endorsing their tickets over to TN.
