On Friday I went online to search for a premium economy return fare to South Africa and thus use my credit -less than 24 hours later I get a email advising me of the new price - yes a 25% increase.
i note all these issues with people trying to get refunds from Qantas and just wonder how many people have passed away and next of kin are not aware that Qantas have there money.

It is a pain across the board with prices for everything going up, and often as you say within hours of last interaction.
Not sure how it is Joyce fault.
Blame travel demand, price of oil, inflation, the immense increase in the money supply by western economies

Yes, the ticket price can go up and the credit may not be enough to pay for the difference.. Throw in Putin/Biden/Corona if you like.

A QF Flight credit it is not like a transaction account where money can be withdrawn.
It is clear that Flight Credits are non transferable so Im not sure how NOK is even a factor (unless they were a travelling party on the credit).

Bank accounts, super accounts, lotteries go unclaimed all the time. It's really not the fault of Joyce.

got alert flight had gone up
Welcome to inflation the likes the world has not seen for a long time

@JWILLS are you referring to QF Flight credit when you mentioned "credit"?
Yes - my flight was cancelled last year so Qantas holding onto my credit - i went off line to check insurance as was not sure if Macquarie will cover the original booking - next more got alert flight had gone up

@JWILLS was the flight cancellation initiated by you or by QF. If initiated by QF you should be able to request a refund in $$$ so long as you did not start spending the Flight credit.

Here is a reason why there is worldwide inflation:

US Money supply......
