DFW lounge options ow

Hi,
Flying via DFW next week (QF Syd-DFW and then on to LGA on AA) and was wondering what the lounge options are? I can see range of AA lounges on the ow website and a BA lounge but given there will be the necessary security and immigration process not sure where these lounges actually are and which one is best option (i.e. Close to departure gate and after all security checks). Would not mind shower after 15hrs !

A lot depends on at which terminal you arrive. The DFW website has terminal maps for all terminals with QF arriving into Terminal D.

I guess arrive in terminal D and depart from terminal A (american airlines domestic). Probably would use lounge in terminal A if that means i passed through all security and immigration check points - no flagship lounge as far as I can see (bit odd for major AA hub?).

I was there on Friday last week in terminals D/C and used the Admirals Club there - a decent size. The two lounge dragons were bemoaning the fact that 747's would be landing full of QF frequent flyers who would overrun the "small" BA lounge and find their way to the Admirals Club.

It seemed to me that once through security you could roam freely between the terminals, either on foot, or using the skytrain. I flew in from MCO into terminal D and wandered over to terminal C.

DFW seems pretty big not to have a FL though.

I should add I prefer DFW over LAX any day. It just needs an FL.

DFW used to have an FL in 'A' - I believe it was closed due to a perceived lack of competition ex DFW.

Notre that significant changes/renovations are underway and things will change regularly.
