Automated Passport Control at Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW)22 July 2014

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) has launched Automated Passport Control© (APC) enabling the fastest, most convenient and secure entry process for international customers entering the US.

Automated passport processing is available to Australian Citizens travelling on ESTA visa waivers as well as eligible customers from all 38 visa waiver countries, customers with only carry-on bags and Lawful Permanent Residents (citizens with “green cards”).

DFW’s Automated Passport Control is part of an overall passenger facilitation strategy which includes a total of 51 kiosks that speed up the entry process.

Since the implementation of Automated Passport Control immigration, wait times have been reduced by nearly 40% with APC kiosks, with an average processing time of 14 minutes or less.

DFW has also recently launched Carry E-Z© lines, labelled in green in the International Arrivals Hall, which enable international customers traveling without checked bags to clear the Customs and Border Protection arrival area in one step and move directly to the landside concourse bypassing the baggage claim process.

From 29 September Qantas will operate direct A380 services between Sydney and Dallas/ Fort Worth. Dallas/Fort Worth has been an important gateway for Qantas customers since we started flying there in 2011. It is the hub for our partner American Airlines, offering connections to more than 50 destinations across the United States as well as parts of Canada and Mexico.

Been available since 1st June. Certainly when I went through soon after that, there was no signage for Australian passport holders, only US and Canadian passport holders. You can ask any of the staff on the ground for the ESTA kiosks. Made entering the USA that much more bearable!
