Departing Sydney Domestic T2 next week - what to expect?

Hey all, given the recent news around expecting long delays at Sydney domestic departures as we approach the school holidays, just wanted to ask here what people are seeing currently? I'm due to fly out early next Wednesday 7am ish - if I get there 1.5 hrs early is that enough time for a bag drop (business) and then clear security?

I flew out on Tuesday on an 8am flight to BNE.

I arrived around 6:40am and the queue for security was maybe 10 minutes (max).

Had a good 40 mins in the lounge.

So whilst longer than pre-covid seemed ok to me.

I wouldn’t expect too much school holidays traffic mid week at that hour. Still plenty of seats and cheap flights mid week next week.

This weekend (and the following two) however is going to be very very busy. Some places like CNS/OOL you cannot get a seat for the next week. Crazy stuff.

Melbourne looks like it might have some fog issues next week.

We flew out of T2 on Sunday 19:30. Arrived just after 18:00 and the security queue took 15 minutes to clear, however they had all lanes open. Bag drop for Business class isn’t going to be much of an issue, but the lack of a priority line for J/status pax is a PITA.

We flew out of T2 Sydney last Wednesday on a 7.15am Biz Class flight to Perth. This is BEFORE the school holiday crush.

Security was an absolute ZOO. No priority line for Biz Class as in ADL etc.

Line went to the back wall. Took 15 or 20 mins to get processed. Had no time to get into lounge.

WHEN are Virgin going to re-open the kerbside Club Lounge access????

It is as good as July 2022 now Jayney -- get it together NOW please. Plane loads are pre-COVID level, so are your profits, so get it happening.

T2 SYD is a horrid horrid budget terminal. Flew out 2 nights ago, barking checking agents, 25 minute wait for security, non-existant priority line.
