Hi all,
Following a PEK-SIN flight on SQ my SC count is at 500 and segments at 16, so in all theory, I should be on gold...yet my account says that it's a mere silver, not gold. Delays in qualifying? I don't qualify just because? I'll receive it tomorrow as a Christmas present?
Thoughts? (and Merry Christmas all)

Hmm. My husband's SC's went to 580 yesterday and he was made gold overnight...maybe give them a ring after Christmas if it hasn't gone through?

I remember a similar thing when I attained Gold. I logged in and was sitting around 520SC but still Silver, it wasn't till the next day that it rolled over. Around 10am I noticed the change I think.

Status reviews are done overnight, and is normally a day behind the date you get the required status credits.

Ok so I'm now gold (yay!) but a strange thing has happened...
I flew PEK-SIN on 23/12 meaning I had the points credited on 24/12 to get me to 500 and then on 25/12 it has me clocking over to gold. However, on 24/12 I flew SIN-SYD meaning points credited on 25/12 - and not counted toward my requal...!?

Thats happened to a few on AFF, seems to be a bug.

So is my best bet to give them a call? Send Virgin a PM on FB? Advice oh wise one...

Give them a call and point out their weakness, it could make a lot of difference at the other end of the year.

Yeah happened to me when I hit silver: 40 SC in no man's land. i contacted Velocity - they gave me the bonus points for that flight, but nothing about the status credits. As it turned out it wasn't an issue.

Thankfully, the same thing didn't happen when I hit gold (I thought it would be tricky over the xmas period, given the delays with processing at the start of the month). Although I was kinda hoping they would have upgraded me during the status review instead of renewing me as silver when I had 460 SC and enough flights the following week to get to gold! I guess I'll get sent 2 new cards within a week or so of each other.

The other interesting thing is it's still showing my paid lounge membership as valid to 31 May, rather than the gold benefit. I know it's now non-refundable if you hit gold, but I'm pretty sure that wasn't the case when I joined - does anyone know exactly when that changed?

On a brighter note: it was very nice last night to walk straight up to priority check in and have our bag first off the plane at the other end. Yay for Gold!
