DEL back-to-back

Due to a flight change I now have 1h10 to make my MH to MH connection in DEL. I expect I will be boarding the plane I get off, and of course I will be travelling HLO.

Has anyone any experience of short turnarounds in DEL?

No, but security at Indian airports, and I know at DEL, is very tight ( and carried out by uniformed Military). If they have 'arrival security' then you may be scooting more than your would like.

My data point is 4 years old, but had a 50 min connection once from 9W to AI (not booked that way, but it’s the way it turned out after my originally booked inbound on AI was delayed by 4 hours). I did have to pick up my AI boarding pass but that also gave me escort through hideous security line, and once through ran to gate and boarded last. The security queue was lengthy and would have consumed considerably more time (and probably wouldn’t have made connecting flight) without escort. Walks were long as well.

If doing this sort of turnaround in the subcontinent way better to do at DAC or CMB with gate based security and comingled arrivals and departures!

Thanks for the info. I had booked the flights with a stopover in DEL, but that of course has disappeared as they have moved me to the flight a day later. It is part of a SR so I have other flights to consider.

I will be able to use OLCI with MH, so will have my BPs with me. And flying J I will be first off. It sounds like it will be doable - just.

Reminds me of my NOU turnaround, though I found letting the crew know so they could call ahead helped.

If at all possible try and get an MH printed BP before outbound sector. When travelling in India the more official the document the easier the path (although I know mobile BPs are OK for domestic not so sure for international flights).
