Does anyone know the check-in times for an AA flight joining to QF.

Later this week I would love to be able to leave my hotel, check-in my bags and then do some sightseeing around Washington for the day leaving enough time to go back to the airport and fly out.

I have a feeling they wont take my bags more than 3 hours before the scheduled departure. Just wondering if it is possible to do it earlier.

I'm assuming there are not left luggage lockers there.

I don't believe you would have an issue - DCA is busy all day by most accounts and there seems to be no reference to earliest check-in times, only latest.

Maybe ask the question on FT ... there's even a thread on checking luggage the day before (within 24 hours) ...

Thanks Serfty. I got some feedback from Flyertalk. All that being said, I think it is going to be possible to make it back to the hotel and turnaround to the airport much faster than I thought. With DCA being right on the same Metro it seems so much more convenient.
