Interesting stats. I note that DL, SW, AA, CO, UA, US, NW, America West, LH, BA, United Express, AC, NH, IB, SK, American Eagle, AS, KL & JL are all ahead of QF, and AY, MH, AF, AZ & VASP just behind rounding out the top 25. But I guess they are just stats, and the disclaimer that there are many other factors at work.

The disclaimer should probably read "This table is pathetically biased towards North American airlines so the overall ratings should be ignored in favour of the regional pecking order."

The algorithms they use to come up with their ratings are not disclosed, but presumably discount the "Our security was so lapse we let Al Queda fly our planes into buildings" factor. Just another case of Lies, Damn Lies, and Government Advertising.

Cheers,

Andrew
