Flew QF from DRW to CBR via SYD yesterday and on arrival into CBR I picked up my ski bag from oversize and noticed my bag had been torn. I went to the baggage counter and showed the staff member the damage.
Then to my amazement she then blamed me for the damage as she believed I had put too much weight in the bag. The bag was well under the 32kg limit that I have. I was then given a phone number to call today but she warned me that nothing will probably come of it.
Finally when I arrived at my hotel room late last night I did an online claim but in the email reply it stated it could be 15 days before they reply. I fly back in a week and my current ski bag is no longer useable.
Any thoughts on what else I can do?
