Dalmation countries

Hi everyone

Was wondering if anyone can recommend a good tour company to do the Dalmation countries, not interested in cruising, more road tours, also single traveller so prefer groups that dont penalise for single supplement

You'll find that very few of us travel with tour companies preferring to do it independently but we'll see what advice is available.

I've used Discover Croatia Holidays when i went to Dubrovnik and travelled up the coast. They were pretty good. Only one accom which didnt meet expectations. They were particularly good with car rental as we had to travel to Italy from Croatia, so that posed issues with other car rental companies but the one we had was seemless.

I've used Tucan Travel for a bit of solo (but in a group) travel in that neck of the woods. Joined a tour in Dubrovnik and left in Ljubliana (to avoid the long travel day back to Budapest). Love that part of the world - Hvar was my favourite spot!

It's worth a look at the usual suspects Intrepid, Cosmos and Beyond Travel.

However I can say that if you wanted to do any component on your own the bus system there is amazing. Reliable, safe and plenty of options. I'm under 30, prefer luxury and I never felt unsafe or like anything was too challenging. Make sure you head to Montenegro while you're in the area!

While I respect the question that you have asked, if I was a single person I would just get myself there & then wing it. As mentioned above the bus system is fine & the ferries make it easy to get from island to island & to mainland.

I actually find tours quite good. Everything is organised and not much for me to do. A good way to get a glimpse of the highlights of each country/city.

I have done 2 and looking to do another in 2015. More than likely Scandinavia and the Baltic countries.
