Is Penang airport separated, or could you use for say an MH flight to KL?

Checking Wikipedia - seems separated.
Interesting also that Wikipedia shows Dragonair replacing Cathay on the route in April-2014

MH do have a Golden lounge at PEN.

PEN seems a bit like ADL, but the Western gates are basically for international flights.

I did not that on the (long) walk from the Golden lounge there are signs for "international departures" and I could see emigration style counters on the other side of a locked door. It looked like there would be enough space up there for more lounges.

I'm looking at PEN as a potential MH J run opportunity. So I assume on the PEN-KUL segment I won't have access to this lounge? What's the MH lounge like?

You would have access to the CX lounge flying MH, since MH is a *O member. Of course this depends on being able to physically saccess the front door. International and Regional may be separated.

The PEN MH lounge is not to bad, some reasonable snack food choices-no Alcohol though.

International and Domestic are separated with the CX lounge on Level 3 of the departures area.
