Still ok, but that's $800 with the +++'s.

I worked it out @ HKD$3490 at todays AUD rate is $481 plus exchange rate bank fee of say 4%.

Well even AUD800 return HK to NY is dam good in my book.

Yeh but the 3490 they quote on the front page doesn't include airport charges or fuel surcharges, a common trap with CX "front page" fares from cities where all inclusive pricing is not standard practice. Still excellent fare if based in or near Hong Kong!

Agree but their charges are nothing like OZ.

See some amazing deals past few weeks on this CX page, pity none in J, but at those prices buy an extra seat :)

Was looking at a Y fare on normal CX yesterday CNS/HKG/CNS pay near same amount can go to TPE.

At the moment, CX actually has some amazing J deals ex-Japan. I've seen return fares to the US for around $3000 AUD ex-NRT.

So if you wanted something in J, you can consider flying to HKG, then positioning yourself to Japan using one of these fanfares deals and flying back out in J.
