Current time for immigration and customs clearance at LHR

Does anyone have recent experience with immigration and customs clearance times at LHR Terminal 3? I'm trying to book transport from the airport for my family of 4 including 1 child and have no idea how long this process is taking at the moment.

If you have Aussie passport and can use egates 10 mins. Luggage wait however has been long over the last year or so.

Yes, we have Australian passports and can use egates. When you say luggage wait is "long", are you saying 20 minutes, half an hour or an hour?

Between 30 to 45 minutes. BA flights are the longest wait in my experience. But it is luck too. Weather issues can throw everything out or you can be in a quiet spot and it comes quickly. Key takeaway is that immigration is not the x factor luggage is.

OP mentioned T3. I flew in last year on CX and bags were coming out as we were heading down the escalator! The eGates were a little slower than usual as a plane load of PAX from an earlier flight weren't "match fit" trying to use the eGates.

Arrived QF1 Sun. 31st @ 0711, HLO.
Very busy @ e-gates & going past baggage area.
Through doors within 30 mins.
With 4 adults + child allow maybe 45-60 mins from landing & make sure your pickup person is waiting near exit as it was a bit of a mess leaving terminal.
