Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts | 3-Day Sale

Can anyone confirm whether rooms booked during this sale count as an eligible stay for Priority Club?

Deals like the 2 for 1 night deals tend to not post, and I suspect that this promotion is pretty similar. The sale price would be a huge discount off the 'PC points earning rack rate' (whatever that might be), so unless it is marked as an eligible rate by PC won't earn.

Because of the huge ambiguity with the PC T&C's and no way to easily tell before you book, my only suggestion is to contact a hotel you're interested in directly via email, ask and then save the response to assist with any claim for a points discrepancy.

Without seeing the T&C's of this promotion it is hard to tell. There is very little on the website at the moment, but it is possible that it will be disclosed when the sale is on.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I'd be interested in this offer as well and wouldn't be concerned it it was a non-qualifying stay.

Bit more info emailed out today. Note the sale opens a little earlier for PC members than the general public:

"Priority Club® Rewards members will have exclusive access to the sale from 12:01am 30 May, 2008.
This internet sale is open to the general public from 12:01am 31 May 2008 and ends at 11:59pm 2 June 2008. "

"Rates are per room, per night and are subject to availability. Bookings must be made from 30/05/08 to 02/06/08 and a full prepayment for the entire stay is required at the time of booking. Full pre-payment is charged to your credit card between time of booking and day of arrival and is non-refundable. Valid for stays between 01/06/08 and 31/08/08. Internet booking preferred. Reservation line only open 7.00am to 7.30pm Friday 30th May (for Priority Club Rewards members only), Saturday 31st May and Sunday 1st June; 7.00am to 10.30pm Monday 2nd June. Please book online via the above links outside of these operating hours"

Still nothing about PC points earning, but I still suspect it's a no.

I am a Priority Club Rewards member but am yet to see an email about this. Would anyone kindly be able to assist with the link to the site for PC members in preparation for bookings commencing midnight...?

Many thanks in advance...

Sign in as a member then click the link Mal supplied and it will work - thats the theory!

You are early, please come back soon!

Thank you for your interest in Crowne Plaza’s 4 Day Sale. As our sale has not yet started kindly return to this website on Friday 30th May when the sale commences for Priority Club Rewards members to enjoy great savings.

Well at least I know I am logged into PC on this machine. :)

Interesting one of the locations I might be able to use. :D

Logged in via the link, it is now active as at 11:48pm est.

Lots of $99 room for all hotels mentioned.

Can't decide to spend a few nights up in Terrigal or the Hunter.

Yup...available before midnight. Just booked 2 rooms at CP Terrigal. The rate was $129 per room prior to the sale, so not as huge a saving as one might think....the savings might just cover a meal (without alcohol!)

Does not say anywhere that the rate does not qualify for points:)

Thanks to the OP for the heads up for this promo.

Only booked the 1 night at the CP DH despite being tempted to book a few more at the CP HV or CP TB.

In the past everytime I have looked at booking CP Terrigal it has been around $300/night. Maybe I am looking at the wrong times.

Still no confirmation whether these rates actually qualify as a stay. I thought I read somewhere in the terms and conditions on the PC website that heavily discounted rates were excluded from points earning....

Booked 2 nights at the CP Darling Harbour.
One night in a King Club room - $169
One night in a Queen city view room - $99

I didn't receive the email so thanks to all on AFF.

I'm logged in but cannot find any Saturday for the Hunter. Maybe sold out already?

Is anyone finding availability as of Lunchtime today?
I just found a Friday so it's probably just an availabilty issue. Terrigal has availability. ;)

Anyone notice this after pressing the reserve button:

"Ambassador benefits do not apply to this reservation. Your corresponding Priority Club benefits do apply."

That seems like the usual message. Ambassador benefits only apply at Intercontinental Hotels and not at Crowne Plaza or Holiday Inn hotels.

I agree, of interest is the message saying PC Benefits apply, one could construe that to mean points, not that I am concerned at that rate with points!
