Hi everyone

This is probably a stupid question but I have looked around and cannot find an answer. I will be in the USA Dec/Jan and while I am there I will earn enough SC's to become a Gold FF. The thing is the flight that will tip me to gold is an AA flight which will be taken just a few hours before my flight in PE from LAX back to SYD.

Now I know that the SC's from the AA flight will take a few days or more to post. But as this flight will technically be before the QF LAX/SYD, will I be able to claim the Gold status bonus on the flight?

Hoping someone with more experience can help :)

The SCs will end up being credited and counted from the date and time of the actual flight. Therefore any point bonii will be recalculated once you attain a higher (or lower :( ) status.

Yes, you can. Most likely what will occur is the QF flight will possibly post before the AA flight, which will give the gold bonus to the AA flight and nothing to the QF flight. They will reverse the AA flight's gold bonus, then apply it to the QF flight.
