Credit Card Churning May Get More Difficult.

Both Illion and Equifax have free web site versions: Credit Simple and Get Your Credit Score.

Credit Simple has same information as Credit Savvy with exception it also has a credit enquiry for a mobile plan that I had 6 years ago (long since cancelled).

Cant register for Get Your Credit Score because only ID it accepts is drivers license whereas Savvy and Simple allow passports - too bad if you don't drive. Further your are directed back to the paid Equifax site (punishment for not being a driver). Equifax simply doesnt seem to have live integration for validating passports, the Equifax page allows you to apply but then want you to snail mail a photocopy of passport and utility bill but given their recent security breaches Im less inclined to do this. Plus full Equifax site is only free once a year, whereas the Get Your Credit Score can be checked more often but only if you drive - so discriminatory

Still find it crazy no record of mortgage from an Aussie bank - it cant be age related because the mastercard on file is older than the mortgage and with same bank. Although as far as Im aware all the major aussie banks use Equifax which i cant check at this stage.

Only NAB is reporting loans at this point, no others are.

Pretty sure all banks have until 30 June to do so for loans.

Could I ask some senior 'churner' to explain to me a litte about Amex Cards please?
In reading the 18 pages of this thread, I've seen comments about charge cards v credit cards, and that perhaps charge cards aren't considered 'credit', and therefore may/do not show up on a credit score, and THEREFORE applications may be more readily accepted. (income and ability to repay OK). Not that I've had any trouble. Recently got a nice little Altitude, and a Bus. Choice Rewards. Am just looking to 'round out the fleet' for my first go at churning.
Somewhere, some of you also advised me to 'not overlook Amex' for it's benefits.
I'm not sure I exactly understand what benefits you might have meant, but perhaps you meant the charge v credit thing. (a bunch of new bonus points wouldn't hurt either - I'm soooo happy with my recent 90K (husbands) plus 60K + 90K (mine.) Thankyou AFF.
