I bought Covermore insurance as I bought my international flights on the virgin website, as you do at the end of the booking. I was unable to add my wife to the policy as she was flying on different ticket SQ vs my VA ticket. Not sure why but such is life. I had to cancel my policy after buying a new policy which included both of us. So this is a whinge! I first attempted to cancel the policy on 13th September. Was notified it would be canceled on the 10th Sept after many attempts at communication. It was also the day we boarded the flight home. In this communication it was said a representative from the refunds team would be in touch within two days. 10 days later in the 17th I reached out again. No reply. I received a reply two days later on the 19th saying the refund had been approved and would take 3-5 days. So still waiting.

Overall a bit disappointing, not likely to use them again. If a change takes longer than your trip then how long does a claim take? Has anyone had positive or negative interactions with Covermore? Ta

They’ve been fine with me. Last claim was about a month to close out, but a lot of that delay was due to europcar delays not them.

Making another claim now for USA hospital bills, and they’ve been responding right on the 10 day mark. I just figure they’re busy. Probably different expectations if you’re desperate for the money back though.
