Could I carry this on?

It's a tablet stand. I am flying to coughet then KL then KK then back to Aus. I want it in my carry on for the JQ flights to use as a stand to watch my shows.

If it fits in your hand luggage bag I can't see why not.

I have carried one of these in hand luggage before. It raised concerns at a few security checkpoints so I would advise having it easily accessible so you can show it to security - once they saw it unfolded and wasn't a knife I had no problems.

Flew OneWorld including PER, CBR, SYD & LHR airports.

Seeing that on board the plane would make me feel alert, but not alarmed.

No different than a camera tripod which are often carried onboard.
