Correcting QF Status on EK MMB

Hi All,

I've an upcoming EK flight: EK Metal, QF Codeshare.

Have just requalified QF Plat however the booking still holds my Gold status - evidenced when I check-in. Obviously would prefer for the booking to pick up the Plat to allow access to the First Lounge in DXB.

On other systems would be a simple case of removing the status and reapplying - but that doesn't seem possible with the EK MMB system which seems to insist on a FF entry once entered.

Any ideas?

Lounge staff should have no issue updating the number.

Called EK - the CSR claimed to be not able to alter the FF number since the booking was on 081- stock and I needed to call QF.

Called QF and they confirmed everything their side was OK. She called EK at MEL and explained the situation - called me back 90mins to explain what had been done etc - said I would have no problems.

On check-in asked if there was a service note against the booking - there wasn't. She managed to remove the FF number and reapply it - still showing SG. Referred me to the Check-in Supervisor who was able to see two attempts to reset. He called QF and confirmed my status then told me there was nothing to be done. Funnliy enough, on boarding the same check-in agent scanned me and asked if it had all been sorted.

I laughed ... oh how I laughed.

I'm guessing this will now haunt me on my return next week ....
