I'm flying Business Class into SFO from SYD in April and have an onward flight to JFK on AA with a connection time of 3.15 hours. I would really like to freshen up at SFO however there doesn't appear to be any shower facilities in the AA Lounge in Terminal 3.

What are my options?

Other posts in this forum indicate there are public showers I can use for a fee in the Departures area of the International airport. However, not sure how this will work as I need to collect my luggage and check it in again.

It is possible to go through immigration, (Australian Passport), pick up my my luggage, pass through customs, re-check my bag, then have shower before going to Terminal 3 to catch my domestic flight.

I am not familiar with the layout at SFO, so not sure if this can be easily completed within my connection time.

Appreciate any suggestions/advice.

G'day gzmourg, welcome to AFF. :D

There plenty of experieince here on AFF, perhaps no so much on SFO though.

Maybe you could ask this Question on the UScentric FlyerTalk Frequent Flyer website. I'm sure you will get some good information.

Particularly, the SFO forum:

Hi Serfty

Thanks for the warm welcome and advice. I posted the same question on FlyerTalk a few days ago and hadn't received a response, so I thought I would try again on the FF forum.

I am probably just being impatient - hopefully someone will be able to provide me with an answer before I depart.:D
