hi i am trying to book a reward for my parents PER - xHKG - x SFO/LAX - SEA all in one PNR and using AS miles :)

For those who are very familiar with those airports

1/ Which will make an easier international to domestic connection?
2/ How would the baggage system work for each airport (note my parents probably wouldn't cope well with carting luggage over long distances without a trolley)

SFO is an easier airport to get around.

In either place, they'll pick up their bags (with a trolley) clear customs and then take them to the bag drop. It's pretty easy and someone will help them.

I'd agree on SFO too. Better airport all round compared to LAX. And that is after the improvements at LAX.

On a side note, DL have a new Sky Club in SFO which is the nicest I've run across in their system.

Just done SFO instead of LAX for my annual conference trip to the US. SFO is so much easier, closer and calmer.

thanks for everyone's responses. Looks like the consensus is SFO. However I just checked, there's no good timing for the HKG-SFO leg which will get me a good connection for the SFO-SEA leg :(

In light of that, what are the busy times to avoid at LAX? Was thinning of a 11:10am arrival or 2:50pm arrival - both should be fine?

Check out wait times here: Airport Wait Times. This is immigration only, add a bit more for bags and customs. LAX isn't as bad an airport as it used to be, but SFO still better.

SFO. They'll have to carry their bags/use a trolley at either airport.
