Confused... any seat awards that don't earn miles and SC's

This is in the fare rules of my any seat award...

I must say I am quite confused at the moment.

Unless they've snuck a 'quick and dirty' in :shock:, or there is some very odd circumstance with your flight, I suspect it has to be a mistake. But yes, confusing, and probably worth clarification with QF!

Weird, the website still shows ASAs as earning applicable fare class SCs. Perhaps somehow it's booked into a non-earn fare class. Best to call and sort out now.

You don't earn status credits on an ASA which is discount economy if status credits are earned on the fare?

What the???!!! What can that possibly mean?

It earns points and status credits, bit the initial class booking goes into award inventory which does not.

Confusing yes, but you will get points and sc.

Worth following up but don't be to surprised if you know more than the QF staff. I have called in the past and I was emphatically told that ASA don't earn points or SCs.

Yup that is a screenshot of what it says. Gave QF a quick buzz and they had no clue. Will be WP in a couple of weeks so will give the plat desk a buzz then to find out (hoping they know more...)
