Hi All

I'm looking to book Mel - LAX in Jan 21 Jan - 4 Feb

If i select Sat 21 the best price is around $895 there and $814 back

Now if i select the Sun 22 the best price is $791 there and $729 back

Why does the price for the Return flight change by $85 if you leave 1 day earlier ?

Also the fare on the Sunday says Jet*Starter what does this mean. I can select QF93 which is a A380 ?

thanks

Ok, some valid questions...

When leaving the 21st of JAN your whole trip has fare basis OJUSS1 with a base fare of AUD1050
if you leave a day later your trip has fare basis OLUSS1 with a base fare of AUD880

The OLUSS1 fare is only valid from the 22nd of Jan.

Second question on the Jet*starter. Scroll down a bit and you will see an option from LAX to SYD via BNE connecting on a JQ flight number that is why the Jet*starter is there.

Hope this helps!

Good response ozmille!

Sometimes though the difference in airfare on certain days is due to the booking class that is available. If they sell out of N, O, Q classes then the airfare is going to go up the S, V, L classes and higher.

Cheers
