Hi all

Just wondering if there is a way to confirm the config of my flight today. Currently say in the QP (technically should it be called a QP before 1PM?) with my BP for QF580 PER-SYD. I believe this is a 743 and have been allocated 3A (no OLCI).

I have a forward aisle upper deck preference and apart from the forward part they dont seem to have hit the nail on the head with this one. Just wondering whether it is worth asking to change. My other thought is that there is a minimal chance that a 744 is operating the route for operational reasons today (vain hope I know) so I might be in line for an F seat ;)

I am flying on my QF SG status rather than AA EXP so I am assuming I have not been given any speical treatment.

Also wondering if there will be wine with lunch - this is my last flight for the year and potentially subject to possible role changes this could be my last business flight for a long time - would be nice to have a special finish ;)

Cheers

S

Going by the registration, 'tis a 743, seat map here: Boeing 747-338 Seatmap (PDF)

Domestic seating profile are different from International in that one cannot select "Upper-deck" for a domestic preference - so forward window may have come to the fore.

(No OLCI was available as part of an international itinerary (DONE4) I presume ;) )

Paper ticket as well.

Looks like my bird just landed :)

I dont think 3A will be a drama - should be quicker to offload and an outside chance that the seat next to me might be free.

EDIT

Confirmed rego is VH-EBX

Its just sat there watching me at the moment

You'll no doubt know the answer by now but last time I flew J PER-MEL on a 743 lunch flight (last year) they could not tip enough wine into me! I actually had to refuse any more after lord knows how many (unrequested) top-ups. Not that I'm complaining. :)
