Hi,

I will be travelling to Europe later this year on a QF flight. I have two lounge passes (through my CC). We have 2 children 7 and 10 and our nephew (17) will be travelling with us.

Will 2 passes be sufficient to get the 5 of us into the international business class lounge or do I have to make different arrangements?

Thanks, Christian

Whilst the former QF rep on here stated that children weren't considered guests for the purposes of these passes, in reality a number of members have found that they have been asked for a pass for each of the children traveling in the group.

The old thread his here.

Print Red Roo's post to carry with you and give it a go - good luck

I would probably go a step further and see if you can get a confirmation in writing through an email channel to bring with you. But beware of bad staff who either don't follow the rules or don't care. I know my wife travelled recently through SYD on a lounge pass and was simply refused entry because the lounge was "too busy" (even though it wasn't). I encouraged her to try again and she managed to get a different staff member who welcomed her in warmly, while the previous staff member glared at her... so it can be very much a mixed bag.

Consistently inconsistent, such a shame, and so damaging to their brand

They need to have policy in place to confirm this, I'd even be happy if access wasn't allowed but consistent throughout all QPs it is to much of a grey area when flying and having a lot of other things on your mind to have to worry about if you might get into the lounge or not

March 2016 Brisbane international Qantas lounge - I had to hand over two passes for myself and my 5 year old. Good luck.

There may be one other factor at play, and that is if the OP is a QP member, either paid or via status, child access rules relate to QP members. If you are a QP member you can take in 1 guest and the 2 kids, you will need a pass for the other minor. If you are not a QP member you may need 5 passes.
