Re: A complimentary subscription to the Weekend Fin Review

I think it's a great offer,shame I'm not platinum-and I live 43km's from the nearest newsagent and they don't deliver here:(.
But good on Velocity for coming up with a smart idea.

Got the offer ...

... not super keen as I don't find much worth reading in it. The only stuff I really look at are Forex rates etc. but more up to date info can be found online.

Won't take one from FA's if/when they offer a paper due to this.

Posted on a wing and a prayer ...

Re: A complimentary subscription to the Weekend Fin Review

Just received this in my inbox:

now am I home enough to want to read it!

Received and signed up. Nice promo, although I would have preferred an I Pad edition as I'm often not home on weekends.
I was about to sign up but held off.... I'm away a lot of weekends in the next 12 months - I cancelled my previous newspaper subscription as apart from reading it online, it was a pain to remember to cancel when I was away!!

BUT nice offer Velocity!!

I like checking out the xx_X rates too, but I don't look in the Fin Review! Usually just go straight to Dan Murphys

In all seriousness, I see this as a very welcome indication that DJ have realised they can make a better name for themselves by being something other than a QF clone. Of late I was getting depressed with the volume and speed of QF style enhancements flowing through.........hopefully this is a sign they are back on track to creating a real alternative choice, that's refreshingly different!

No invite for me.....

Not happy must be targeted

I have over 2700sc this year so I'm a little grumpy.

TBH I don't see a huge value in it. I used to get the weekend fin review with Amex and more often than not it went in the bin with the wrapping still on..

The Weekend Australian would have Been a better option IMHO.

I totally forgot about that, I will be away for most weekends in the next 6 months....

I'll have to let my neighbour get the paper and enjoy it

Got the offer too, a nice little surprise. Though doubt I well get much active use out of it, can't help but feel valued as a customer. Agree with previous post, Wend Australian SMH would be more useful.

A clear sign Virgin are targeting business/corporate customers. Imagine if they were still in the old mode, and offered Cleo and Men's Health magazine subscriptions.

I'd like to say I only read the Financial Times......but to be honest the words are a bit long and the paper colour invariably clashes with my shirts so I stick to The Sunday Sport online!!!! :p

Have to agree. Weekend FT is really the only actual paper I want, but have to make do with iPad/Phone/Mac version

Signed up though, it is SS
