Anyone received complimentary KrisFlyer Elite Silver status?

I was just scrolling through my accounts in AwardWallet and notice that I had *A Silver from KrisFlyer and, upon logging into my account and checking, I noticed the elite status.

I have never earned one single mile with KrisFlyer from flights, I've simply transferred award points there.
I am yet to make a redemption either: I currently have a balance of 819,503 miles though. Maybe that has something to do with it?

I have noticed a tightening up of redemptions so my fourth booking is way out in November,2016.
Hope you enjoy burning a few Kris miles in a class you pick for yourself and potentially up to 5 redemption nominees.
No special status on our two accounts ....I just looked.

Sadly I'm not Silver either. I do notice that the graphic on the new account page is a little ambiguous. It doesn't actually show me my status or that the 5000 elite miles are not that elite.

Hi,

I was going to post the same question. Received it after posting 50000 miles from Citi Prestige

Was that the same ccard you transferred from?

Thanks,
Paul

I logged in and I got the same ambiguous graphic (KF Silver). However, I checked by clicking the "man" icon on top right corner after logging in Krisflyer website. It confirms I am standard Krisflyer member, and not Silver.
