Never bothered with the DC option that was offered - if a merchant doesn't take Amex - they won't take a DC (IME).

Don't agree here. I've often seen situations where one or the other is accepted.

So is everyone using CBA platinum now? Citibank caught up with me after 4 years, and stopped my point earning on the free for life gold card from this month on.

I am not even half way through the anniversary of my billing year. :(

Chicken,

Wow. You certainly dragged this from out of the archives.

I use CBA platinum as it suits my circumstances. I never quite reach the points limit as I also feed through AMEX. At 1:1 point/dollar it's as good as a Visa or Mastercard gets. ;)

If you can convince CitiBank to give you a CitiBusiness Gold card, they earn 1.25:1 (points/dollar) and are a Visa card.

At $69/year it's good value - although it probably has some sort of points cap (never been capped on mine but I don't spend /that/ much on it).

i have currently The Qantas American Express Premium Credit Card and an anz qantas plat cc the anz was fee free for first year and is just about up is there another card similar or better ? The amex card is due at the end of the year i was thinking a long the line of westpac is this a good option
regards
