I uploaded a photo of my last transcon J meal. I was pretty happy with that.

I assumed they were going to ask more questions after the first page however....

OT but I actually had a really tasty lamb dish on my POM-BNE flight. Possibly rated as the tastiest meal on a short haul that I've ever had.

Given the paltry sliver of chocolate (shaped like one of those long thin sugar sachets) I received on my last VA flight, I didn't bother to complete the survey.

It seems fanciful to think they will change anything other than reduce the size and cost, and certainly not based on what people actually want to eat (which isn't going to be economical or practical in the overwhelming majority of cases).

Still it's a novel approach and more interactive (arguably more lazy and non-productive on their part).

No photo uploaded, but I suggested pizza!

Hope it was at least Crust Pizza! :)

I uploaded a photo of my last Qantas meal and told them to stop trying to reinvent the wheel and just make something tasty and no more fun sized ANYTHING :)

Yes I forgot the to mention the "fun size" translates to cheap and insulting!

Sorry pauly7, I didn't specify the crust type. :(

Latest one was again a different approach - a forum to provide input about lounges. I didn't bother.

There are some 'interesting' comments/suggestions on the forum but I think the main items that could be feasibly improved are pretty clear...

Oh please bother or they won’t do anything to fix the dire unchanging food! Log on at least and see what everyone else is screaming about it’s pretty hilarious!!

A community VA survey today which solely revolved around inflight charging of electronic devices.

I would not think too many people would be against the ability to charge electronic devices in flight...

I answered that one as well. Generally, my devices are close to fully charged (for my morning flights) and more than enough charged for my return nighttime flights (particularly if I've had time in the Lounge). Not a huge pull to make me fly more with VA (they get the lions share now).

I am usually well prepared and carry a power bank as a back up every time.

Down in the galley, you can charge your phone if the cabin crew as super cool. Have done this before. Make sure you have a US adapter handy for our Boeing planes.

Destination Food & Beverage about what time of day items (such as quiche, soup, fruit) should be served, and how appealing it would be to purchase different alcoholic beverages.

Followed by a quiz to match foods from Fiji, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Poland.

VA Marketing considering adding craft beer and coughtails (premixed amongst other things. Great, love a craft beer but VA if any of the protein balls, quiches, soups etc you are considering are fun size.,..

I think that is the part VA struggle to explain. "Fun size" is an insult, but to make things worse, since the reasonably recent tix name changes, the VA cheapy fares on short haul int don't even include "fun size" snacks.

When I'm faced with an option to fly PX with a wide body 767 with good old fashioned "non fun size" economy cabin seat pitch and a substantial meal for considerably less cash outlay than VA's narrow body 737, "fun size" (not) economy seat pitch and no food at all .... why would I?

Protein balls were handed out on a recent QF flight. Brown balls, diameter slightly more than a 50c coin. Quantity two.

Don't know if they were fun size, but they were definitely Funny Farm size :) And just like in Funny Farm they were surprisingly tasty!

As for soup in VA Y, I'm picturing this size:-

I'll have to hurry up and get to the survey, with all the good idea from you lot above. A small bowl for short haul, a larger one for longhaul would be good.
