Is it possible to combine EK and QF points?

I want to book 2 business class rewards flights on Emirates but I am 80K shy. I have QF points. Can I top up my EK points? Can I transfer QF points to my EK account?

Not possible to transfer points between Qantas FF and Emirates Skywards unfortunately.

What route are you trying to book? You can use Qantas points to book a seat on an Emirates flight, and vice versa (provided the correct number of seats are available). Could you use those QF points to book the other flight?

Not possible.

Why don't you use the Qantas points for one part of the journey and the Emirates points for the return leg?

Thank you for the replies, I didn't think it was going to be possible.

I have 218,000 emirates points that have to be used (booked ticket at least) by July 31st 2016, otherwise I will lose them. Was looking at 2 tickets Hong Kong to Paris.

I will look at the suggestions offered see what works best.

If you can get to 240,000 Emirates miles, you could redeem your EK miles for 1x business reward HKG-CDG return, and 1 DXB-CDG return. Then you could use QF points for 1x HKG-DXB redemption (connecting with the DXB-CDG flights).

I have no plans to fly Emirates to reach 240,000. May just do HK to DBX in business, buy DBX to CDG and keep my Qantas points for another day.

Points can be transferred from some credit card and hotel programs to Emirates.

You can also buy up to 25,000 Skywards miles per year. Admittedly, it would cost US$880 for the 22,000 miles you need (US$40 per thousand) so perhaps not worth it. But it's an option I guess.

Alternatively, you could buy 20,000 Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) points. These transfer to Emirates at a rate of 20,000 SPG points = 25,000 Skywards miles. 20,000 SPG points currently cost US$490.
