Coles gift card offers

Just got 12% off via eBay crazy code and cash rewards on Cole'sMyer cards.... Paid Amex via PayPal!

How does that work?
I those discount codes don't work on gift cards directly

Edit: I stretched my brain and i worked it out!
It'd a pity you can't buy gift cards with gift cards!

Dumb question I suspect - re docket deals (e.g. triple points on next purchase) - is this linked to the flybuys account that made the original purchase? and are these one-use only?
Cheers

Yes and yes. Easy to get the first one wrong when you are the family account-juggler

I bought 2 Visa1 cards with the latest offer. Scanned my card then my wife's FB card in a separate transaction and got 2 lots of 2000 FB points. Nice surprise.

Separate accounts or a supplementary card holder account?

Supplementary card holder. Scanned the bar code on the back of my coles credit card for the first transaction then scanned my wife's for the second transaction. We're all on the same FB account.

Thanks. Very interesting. It's supposed to be one per account.

Glad I tested it out. Original intention was to use the '$10' value at checkout of the 2000 FB to cover the cost of a second card. I'd be out of pocket $2 in return for 600+ MR points. Thought that was a good deal. Turned out even better :)

Rates due...need some EFTPOS gift cards to avoid credit card fees.......anyone got a source\info on pending COLES option coming up soon?

There will likely be a Coles FB Fathers Day offer in the next few weeks. These will likely again be Coles MC GCs. Your council might still surcharge you to pay with these since they're 'credit' cards. But bet for worthwhile EFTPOS cards (assuming you can use them to pay over the counter and it's worth your time) is to have a look at the Woolworths GC thread.

Interesting that the Vanilla offer paid out 2000+105 Flybuys as generally spend on giftcards doesn't count. Not sure if that spend will count to VA SCs but should be able to report back next month
I think WW GC offers are similar (ie pay out for base spend if bonus WW$ are offered)
I have also noticed that using Android Pay seems to bypass the minimum spend to count as a Local Champion transaction (great for a current 6 MR/$ on top of Flybuys at Coles)

Hoping for a full-on CMCGC offer but they didn't have one last Mother's Day did they? Seem to recall that the card issuer changed some months back

What does appear to have definitely changed is the imposition of a very small limit on the number of cards that can be purchased. This is unacceptable. Better offers elsewhere.

although the offer itself is well worth it, the max limit of 1 per account or thereabouts really kills the deal ........I dont know why people even bother me coles gift card promos or coles gift cards, when WW excel so much more in every way over coles

While I have yet to be blessed to be offered one, the historical coles offers had been very, very generous long before woolworths' one or two perfect GC promos in recent history.

fair enough, ive just got on the gift card bandwagon from 2017, and coles have been many steps behind ww since day 1,

either theyre making too much money and dont need the business or their marketing team are duds/genious

When do the points post as they did not show immediately when purchased vanilla card?

When do the points post as they did not show immediately when purchased vanilla card?

24 to 48 hours for these types of offers. Although in the past there has been problems and members, including myself, have waited several months for the points to post.
