Just a bit of trivia on the 747-300's. When they first came out some time in the 80's I think SQ called them SUD's for stretched upper deck but QF called them EUD's as SUD also stands for sudden unexplained death. Perhaps just a case of having to be different from SQ!

SQ called the 743s BigTop, and the 744s MegaArks for freighter and Megatop for pax! SUD actually refers to the after market changes made to the 200 series to make them have the capacity equivalent of the 300 series:
