Club Jetstar Extras announced: Qantas Frequent Flyer Extra

If you have flights already booked (with a bundle for SCs and points), joining this now will mean getting the extra SCs and points for those flights or only for new bookings? I'm considering joining if so.
I understand not. It pretty clearly says the flight must be booked and flown when a member.
 
I'm hoping it works the same as Points Club. If you're a member at the time of the flight then it counts. Anyway time will tell.
 
I'm glad they did this as an add-on and not devalue existing bundles.

Anyway, assuming it applies to existing bookings then I'm in.
They already did a brutal devaluation of Bundles - by more than half in points and more importantly status credits - last year... a disgraceful slap to loyal customers....this new program is a joke, with a 75 SC cap.

First they brutally halve (and worse) the points and Status credits for bundles in their disgraceful Jetstar QFF devaluation last year.... and now they come along with this pittance (and expensive) offer to try and regain some customers who have abandoned them. Combined with what some may describe as price gouging type pricing, thanks to the loss of all competitor options, Jetstar is simply not an option.

Ok so I have jumped on this offer because I was going to be 20 status credits short to retain Gold QFF. Booked the flights marked for Qantas extras and am about to go on the 4th of the flights in 2 days which achieves what I needed. But what a nightmare - unable to check-in online, unable to use the Airport kiosks, so check-in counter is the only option left. Just as bad for those staff as they are unable to make it work either. After lots of ringing around finally someone is found who can override the system and issue me a boarding pass. Is it just teethng problems or have I made an error somewhere? All Jetstar staff involved have come back to me with "it is an issue with your Club Jetstar account". Had anyone else experienced the same problem?

Ohhh this is interesting. I bought it and had an issue checking in the other week as well (has never happened before) and needed to go to the desk, although they printed one fairly quickly. I didn't ask what the issue was though. The Status Credits didn't credit at any rate despite the standard bundle ones coming through (and yes had the membership before booking the flight! ):rolleyes:

I ended up having to lodge a missing points claim which came through eventually but only for my two return flights which is weird. I have flown again since then and still needed assistance to be able to check in (online not working and kiosk not working) although the points came through 2 days later this time (and it was the same direction as the previous 2 missing flights that I had to claim). Teething problems I guess 🙂
