Made some purchases at D!ck Smith Indooroopilly yesterday. Showed up on transactions today as Tandy even though the receipt has D!ck Smith all over it. Will be interesting to see if the bonus points post manually for this transaction but if not then expept Amex to receive a call as the transaction was for $1,700 and 8,500 is a very significant amount of points.

It should not make a difference if a store is a DSS or DSM store. They are both D!ck Smith stores and should be covered under this promotion.

OK....bought 4 x$500 GCs today (so now have 8 all up :shock::evil::mrgreen...that will do me for this promo, I think! AMEX need to now cough up the bonus pts or else I'll be pretty pi$$ed off as I'm a Coles man!!:shock:. I can't find anything when I go to Woolies as I rarely went prior to this promo...

Yes ditto here. No point doing it on the last day...as transactions can sometimes take a day or two to post and one wants all tx to count!!!.


Just have to wait for the next promo now...though will havea few giftcards to use up yet.

i'll be calculating mine today and mine will only be around 5000 or so I would say. I came to the 'buy wishcards' party a bit late... and only in the last month did I discover I could use the cards to pay my petrol!

The last AMEX DSE promo was about 3 years ago IIRC? I'm not expecting another one for a similar timeframe, and I have enough giftcards to last me till then anyway

I did have an initial target and I am not sure f I made that target as I need to go back to December 2010 but I believe that I am owed enough bonus points in June 2011 alone for a SYD-BKK return in economy or a few thousand points short of a SYD-HKG return in premium economy.

The downside is that I now have 1 years worth of gift cards in my possession!

Well maybe not so many. I got a new Amex last year, with the DSE promo I decided on a target balance of 100,000 points. That is total balance including sign on bonus, regular spend and DSE bonus. I only have about 3 weeks of gift cards left, so I certainly didn't go hard.

Official responce from premium services

Fellow AFFer's,

I made a written claim for bonus points missing from April to June to my premium services liaison.

I received a call back that indicated;
-While Amex publicly stated a 30 June expiry their marketing team and internal ystem only ever mentioned a 31st March offer expiration hence how this issue came about
-The marketing team will not allow cases to be raised as a manual audit of all accounts is occuring to identify affected transactions
-American Express expect points to be posted by mid September for all customers
-If points have not been manually added by mid September a case my then be raised

I think it's worth to share my update information from AMEX. Called up yesterday and was told by both CSR & supervisor, all of bonus points will be allocated to those transactions which made up to 31/5/11. Any transactions made after that will not be awarded, and this is the final decision. I wish someone here will get successful to claim those bonus points during June 11.

PS: They don't accept the screen shot which I brought that up as well, as they explained that it was their website error and the offer was supposed to be finished on 31/12/2010. Any new claim will not be accepted.

They told me all of bonus points up to May have already allocated, no more transactions will be shown up.
