Hi Brains trust,

I booked myself return flights on EK last night, taking advantage of wide open availability - not sure why that is…

For some reason booking hasn’t ticketed so I can’t manage seating etc. I’ve booked many J awards on EK over the years and they have always ticketed immediately, so this is unusual.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue or should I be following up with Qantas? I wonder if connected to current uncertainty or some other error. Flights are in only 16 days away and I need to line up a few other things for my very brief 72 hour trip to the UK!

the trick with the Qantas website and award bookings is you need to fill in the APIS section with your name / DOB / passport number before it will issue the ticket.

Thanks for the reply. Is this new - I don’t think I’ve ever done that more than 24 hours before a flight over about ten years of playing this game.

The other thing that is strange is it does not appear in my bookings. I can access the booking with the code which is only available from the transaction in the points deduction visible in activity statement.
