Classic Reward booking - can I remove a segment

I may have found a better outbound flight option for a multi-trip classic flight reward booking. Is it possible to remove the outbound flight without losing the other flights?

Yes I've done this in the past. Even changed the departure country for the first flight - but that did cause some currency issues that the Qantas call centre staff had to manually override.
