Looking to book a classic flight rewards booking one way from CMB.

The QF website wont allow CMB as the from field... guessing only way to book is ring up?

I found earlier in the year the only way I could book an a QF award seat on UL CMB to SIN was by calling up after finding availability on expert flyer. Btw thank you your question has reminded me I need to cancel it

This issue surfaces with bookings starting in a number of ports: CMB, DOH, BOG for example.

When searching, put in a dummy first sector on the multi-city tool or search as a return, e.g., MEL-CMB-MEL.

When booking, if it's part of a Oneworld award it will show available seats provided the award doesn't start in CMB (or DOH or BOG). If it does start in one of these ports, then you will have to call.

BTW: if you are looking for two seats in J, forget it. I've never seen UL release more than one.
