Classic Awards 'Fee's & Charges' - errors

So checked the QF calculators page (Where Could I go) - oneway Y ex MEL-BNE is 12,000 points and $15.40 in charges.

"Brisbane
12,000*
QANTAS POINTS
EconomyTaxes, fees and carrier charges AU $15.40. ^"


But when booking is more like $32 in charges. No big deal really, but just booked 5 pax return so over $300 instead of $150.

Spoke to 2 diff premium call centre staff (one was incredibly rude!) and was meant to get a call back but nothing....

Any thoughts? Or just suck it up....

I guess this is another of those glitches on the Qantas website that never seem to get fixed.

Unless you were to take some sort of court action there is not much you can do.

You could take it to Fair Trading if you were so inclined. But you'd need to make sure they don't have disclaimers to get them out of it e.g. what does that "^" indicate?

If it says something like "indicative", or "subject to.." it likely gives them wiggle room.
