I guess you are right but then how would other people recognise the Chairmans Lounge Platinum One from say a vanilla Platinum?

Is it the walk? The clothes? Or the air of arrogance?

It the person being carried on the shoulders of at least 4 QF Staffers to their aircraft that gives it away :)

So which benefits CL has over P1?

Access to the Chairman's Lounge for a start. More frequent upgrades on DOM flights for a second. More likely to get a First Host at int'l ports than a vanilla P1 travelling in F.

Zachary.august - just wondering how someone else getting the same benefits devalues CL? You still get all of the benefits you got previously.

A CLP1 does not walk! They are carried around in their Royal Sedan Chair!

There are fewer P1s then there are CLs. I think the amount of CLs devalues the P1 program ;)

Well. How many of those CLs would you say fly on a regular basis? I'd say very few of them for one. Secondly, my comments about the devaluation pertained mainly to upgrades. I know that some CLs who don't hold this dual status have had a harder time gaining upgrades since the introduction of P1. That isn't a bad thing nor is it a good thing. I think both programs are great and personally I would be happy with just P1.

Do you mean points upgrades or op-ups?
