CitiBusiness Gold 'no longer available'

Has anyone definitely been able to keep the Citibusiness card.

What do you mean by definitely?

As far as I know most members received the letter to transfer then called up Citibank and provided an ABN and have been told they will be able to keep the card.

Whether or not we get transferred off it again at a later date remains to be seen.

A week or so ago I rang up to cancel the crd. the new platinum card didn't interest me due to the poor earn rate for SQ and DJ - better off with the Plat edge amex

After about 5 minutes of trying to get the girl to understand she says if i have an ABN I could keep the card, so supplied the ABN for my SMSF.

She said they'd check it out and decide if i was eligible to retain the citibusiness card.

Still got over a month b4 my next annual fee is due. Definitely going to cancel if I can't keep.

Am loathe to ring up again to find out if supplying an ABN worked for me.

Just scored my Plat ANZ QF card free for another year so am considering giving citibank the flick and just using my amex edge for SQ or DJ

Like reported by other members, I called up and said the card was used for business purposes. I mentioned I did have an ABN and the operator said if that's the case I can keep the card. He did say the ABN would be reviewed to determine if it was being used. It is, so hopefully this means I will be able to keep it.

Giving them my (active) ABN appears to have worked for me as well. There was no suggestion there would be any problem keeping the card.

Just called them and said I wanted to keep this card and it's for business purposes, he asked for a.b.n. & says now I can keep this product

Well you can limit your exposure and sweep across now. I did and my points balance is back to about 5000.

Are you guys saying they are going to just do away with the CBG being QFF Eligible altogether? As in if you are already linked to the Qantas FF program they are going to remove that option? I don't see how they can do that.

The sweep has always been a manual thing, you earned Citi points which could be transferred to QFF points when you call up to request it. They can change the rules so that the the QFF transfer is no longer available, forcing you to use the Citi points on the Citi rewards store.

I transferred points to Qantas yesterday but also wondering when this might stop.

So are we all assuming that the points sweep option to QFF for continuing ABN holders will likely be removed?

Sorry if I missed it but what is now the next best option for non AMEX related QFF points earn?

Interesting thought. If we now know that Citibusiness Gold customers can keep the card with an ABN.

Has anyone attempted to sign up as a new customer onto the Citibusiness Gold?
