I reckon there is a glitch in their application process right now. I didn't have to either. It's not normal for a bank to skip that step.
They must be having major issues with their application process. My application submitted automatically before I had entered any assets/liabilities. The application somehow still got sent for credit assessment, but was declined. Not sure how you can conduct a credit assessment without an applicants assets/liabilities. I have since lodged a complaint with AFCA.

I also got a rejection. The email was a stock standard vague response saying you have been rejection because of blah blah blah. Nothing specific about too much debt, or anything.
I have a high credit score on credit savvy, and also meet the minimum. I was going to ring up and enquire, but not sure I can be bothered....

anyone know if there is a minimum annual income when applying for this Citi bank credit card? TIA

Applied now. Weirdest application that allowed me to select a pin number at the same time as well as wanted me to setup internet banking. I opted to do the pin, i didnt have faith in citibanks system to not get confused with existing internet banking, so opted against it.

Docs uploaded and now here's hoping an easy 100k QFF for $49.

More than $75k p/a according to the Citibank application page.
Thanks. I kind of remember there is a minimum annual income for this card but could not track it down. this question is for Mrs Longtoo. I have just churned this card myself. Easy process bonus point credited pretty quickly.

Shi..y Bank.

As much as we bag Citibank, I was lucky enough to have a clear run! Applied and received the card in late November. Just missed hitting the $5,000 spend in the first month, but made it in the second. My 100,000 bonus are now in my account as of a few days ago on the second statement. I count myself one of the lucky ones 😁

Wow, approved in 23hrs from application being made. Easy.. i hope. The subject of the email is

Tizey, your Citibank Rewards Credit Card - Signature application is approved!

Am I right in understanding its a Citibank Rewards Card that is linked to Qantas? I did have to input my QFF No as part of application.

Also, in my welcome email, it noted a Balance Transfer rate of 0% for 15months. Anyone had a shot at getting both the bonus points and using the BT? I can easily spend $5k within a day of getting the card, pay it off straight away and then apply for the BT @ 0%?

80% of credit limit offsetting mortgage interest for 15months means I'd happily hold the card to get the 50k anniversary bonus as the interest saved on mortgage offsets the annual fee. Add that in with Mrs tizey and thats a free 2 x 50k QFF that I wouldnt have expected to get.

This thread is really popping off, I have some info to add...

I hit just over 5k in the first month. My 100k bonus points came through same day as first statement.
I currently hold a Virginmoney Visa.
I spent ~2k of the 5k threshold on Government (.gov.au) spending.

My partner also recently applied and had the same bug where the application skipped the income proof and was approved very quickly.

Considered applying for this the other night so went ahead & pre-filled data then saved to review later.

Gone ahead to review my Credit File today & there is already a mark on my file from CitiBank.

This is astounding! How can one not even submit an application & receive a mark!!

Has this been seen previously & how can you report this with the hope of removal?

Same thing happened to me, it’s apparently in the T&C’s that they can do a credit check as soon as you start the application.

Wow, Incredible!

If I knew this, I wouldn’t of gone ahead by pre-filling data for this Citibank Card as this may of well been the case why I’ve been declined for the St George Signature Card as it seems that lenders are alerted to any credit changes, ie; increase, decrease & new applications in real time once they have access to your credit file!

See how I go with this offer & then have a break!

Made the required spend during the second statement period and got the bonus with the second statement.
Thankyou Citi.
First statement for me.

This has been one of the easiest cards to obtain and quick posting of points, wasn't expecting that given some of the stories you read regarding Citi!!!

Well surprisingly.... applied Wednesday night and received an approval text at 3:30 this morning. No calls, no questions. Far too easy for citi
