Son has received his card today I asked if he checked it was Qantas , his reply ;
'Just had a challenging call w Citi to ensure that it is and will now pay $49 for the privilege'
And he's a bank employee himself ha ha
Meanwhile husband app saga goes on, phone calls Saturday and today asking to upload a 2nd payslip. Unable to do so as the status is ✔️Submitted
He's had to call back and was told it's been sent to the final team for a decision ! 10 days and counting

Rang up to activate card and check QFF status. CSR confirmed that I was registered and eligible for 90K bonus on meeting minimum spend. Bit the bullet and asked about fee, was told this only gets charged at time of annual fee so wouldn't be charged till next year. Will wait and see what happens with first months points plus kept details of time, date and whom I spoke to.

I received my card today, activated it and tried to call to confirm the bonus point offer - their phone system is seriously the worst! Will have to try during business hours tomorrow.
The paperwork that came with the card definitely said no annual fee for the first year, and my online account had my QFF details in there preloaded so I guess they do have that sorted at least.
Also got the Priority Pass code too.

My application was approved within 12 hours with only a payslip upload and no follow up calls.

Mrs HockeyMonkey was called after 4 days to confirm details in the applicatio,n after which it was immediately approved without any further documentation.

No idea why the different approach was needed

Applied Thursday evening, approved today.

No phone calls, no follow ups. Just a payslip and basic details in the application.

Card arrived today, activated and confirmed QFF details in the Rewards section on Citibank's online portal.

I used the original link for Signature Qantas that was redirected to Signature Rewards so I don't think anyone has to be concerned about that.

Hubby got an offer finally but it's for the platinum instead, 100,000 Citi rewards. He's not keen but I'd rather see what the Citi reward benefits are first.
Has anyone got any experience with these kind of points that they can enlighten me or reckon we should just cancel the application.

100,000 Citi rewards are equivalent to 50,000 Velocity points. As a platinum card holder he can also transfer to Singapore Krisflyer and Emirates Skyrewards. (40,000 points each). Given hubby had taken the credit hit, may as well get some points out it. Applied just under two weeks ago, QFF number added during application, couldn’t upload payslips due glitch in the system.

Phoned a few days later to check status of application, standard follow up questions asked, approved without payslips. I am a current holder of the Qantas Premier Platinum, have held this card for nearly two years.

Card arrived last week, the only reference on any documentation related to Citi Rewards, called Citibank to confirm my QFF bonus status and QFF number. They confirmed my sign up bonus is activate but my QFF number wasn’t registered, registered QFF number over the phone.

Just call them, I religiously call and confirm for every new card I apply for!

So I'm right in thinking there's no exclusion even for existing card holders? I applied for the Qantas Premier in March and intend on keeping this for a while because of the 1 for 1 on a MC.

I applied online and got declined on the spot after the online forms. I've got strong credit rating though I do have a Virgin Money card which I applied for 2 months ago. Anything I can do about this?

Not much I think. The shortest wait time I've had between 2 Citi card approvals is over 4 months. When I tried at 3 months, it was auto rejected.

Does the credit enquiry show immediately through creditsavvy/getcreditscore? I thought I got auto-rejected a week and a half ago but there's nothing showing online. Perhaps it was a system problem... I'd like to avoid 2 enquiries though, so am currently waiting a little longer (also for my recent Westpac cancellation to update in my credit report).

It can take a while to appear. I would never expect to see it instantly, often I only see it on 1 or 2 of the credit agencies, too.

i rang them today and they said they didn't know about the offer (annoying as that the link i clicked into)
anyways they said to email
[email protected]
waiting back on their email - but hopefully i can transition across to the advertised credit card without any issues

I was shown the message 'Sorry, we are unable to accept the application at this time' on the screen immediately after I submitted. I'm not sure if that means I was declined or if it is an application error. Has anyone else seen this? I didn't get an email about my application nor did I see an application reference number anywhere.

I see that many people have got declined here. Is this the message you saw or were you declined after assessment by some human?

Nah they signed me up for the Citibank rewards card instead of the citibank signature qantas card
ill wait and see when they reply back to me - probably get declined like the others.
