Had a beautiful degustation dinner at Sepia on Saturday night and the food was exquisite! Thanks to the Citibank Free Wine we enjoyed a nice white, which was the start of a few bottles for the evening. This is a recommended restaurant in my books.

Got a booking in early August on Sat nite....looking forward to it!

You should be getting 4.25 altogether.

When calculating points on your statement, the cents don't count so effectively you round down.

Contacted Citi. They said I got the correct amount, I pointed out that I didnt, they said they would give me another 200 points on top of what I was missing so just waiting for the credit now.

I had dinner at MAPO in Adelaide last weekend and they no longer participate  The restaurant is still listed as a participating restaurant under their website and iphone app. No wine and probably no bonus points to be received. Anyway the food was very good and presentation was exciting, I would highly recommend this restaurant with or without the free wine ;)

OT I also had dinner the following night at Celsius Restaurant and Bar just a few restaurants down and I was pretty impressed with the food. It is a highly rated Adelaide restaurant, made it to #53 in the Top 100 for Australian Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Awards for 2013 , and the highest ranked restaurant for South Australia. We had a 8 course degustation, 70% of the ingredients are sourced from the restaurant owner's farm. Presentation gets top marks, quality and taste get pretty good marks however creativity was a bit lacking (when compared to the top restaurants in the list eg. Sepia,). No doubt they will improve and get higher on that list. It is at the higher end of the cost scale, but very good all round and a highly recommended restaurant.

For Adelaide people a heads up, the list of paritcipating restaurants on the App are not longer valid and only those listed on the Citibank website are. Im dissapointed that House of Chow no longer is a member and told the Citi phone CS people that it would lead to a lot of disgruntled Diners if the App is not updated quickly.

As an aside MAPO is listed on the website as a participating Restaurant, so Alanlegal I would ring up Citi and complain.

I visited Criniti's at Parramatta a few weeks ago. (Citibank Dining Program)
Presented my Citi Select card and requested the free bottle of wine. At first the waitress had no idea what I was talking about, but after a little prompting she worked it out. Got a lovely bottle of Sauvigon Blanc. Then proceeded to find the bottle on the bill. Had to ask for it to be removed. Easy to miss after drinking said bottle!

I visited again on Saturday night and went through the same steps. The reply...

Waitress: "Let me just check on that for you. There have been some changed recently".

After walking off and checking with somebody....

Waitress: "I'm sorry - we are no longer part of the Citibank program. It finished on Thursday (Sept 20th)"

Criniti's is still showing on the Citibankdining.com.au website. Not sure if the waitress gave the right info, or if the restaurant really has dropped off the list.

Funny you've mentioned Criniti's...I wonder if you can actually stack this offer on top of the Entertainment Book's 25% discount.

I haven't had an Entertainment Book for years. Didn't know Criniti's were in it. Will have to check it out.

After leaving some (constructive) feedback on the Criniti's website 'feedback' form yesterday, I received a call from a Criniti's manager last night. He apologised for the mix-up and said that they are definitely still part of the Citibank dining program. He also said that he would be speaking with the staff to ensure that they all knew the deal.

Quick question. I'm a Citi Platinum member. I get 1.25 points on local spend and 3 Bonus points for spending with Citibank Bonus Partners (Im assuming this is dining partners?). So should I be getting 3 points per $ spent on their Dining partners or 4.25 points spend per $?

Thanks as my statement came and it doesn't add up.

The last few months I haven't been getting the 3 extra points per dollar. Every month I call and complain, and they credit me the points plus an extra 10-15% (ie if I was owed 500, they credit me 550 points). This month, I called and complained, and they've credited the points to me, and told me that the bonus points now only apply on Wednesdays!

I said I didn't know this, and looking now, I can't see it on the website. I have not seen any direct mail about this T&C change.

The last email I can see from Citibank referencing the 3 bonus points per dollar was in May which said
As a Citibank Rewards Cardholder, you are a member of our exclusive Dining Program. Enjoy a free bottle of award winning wine[SUP]1[/SUP], plus three bonus points per dollar[SUP]2[/SUP], every time you dine and pay with your card at over 300 partner restaurants.

Has anyone else seen this change in writing?

That doesnt sound correct.

You're right .. it doesn't.

I think I'm going to give up on this program now. I had dinner at a restaurant listed on the Citibank Dining website last night .. they said they are no longer on the program, and haven't been for three months. I'll complain to Citibank tomorrow... but it's frustrating, just like the Qantas restaurant points offer where half the restaurants claim their machine isn't working.

I've found at least 50% of restaurants try to avoid the deal in one way or another; it pays to understand how it works and make sure they honour it!

Might pay to put a print out in my pocket, just in case.

Maybe ring in advance an confirm offer and refer to name etc. pin them down seems to be the order of the day!!

Dined at Charcoal Lane last night. Welcome to Charcoal Lane Had no problems getting the wine. We chose red wine and received a bottle of 2008 BROKEN QUARTZ CABERNET SAUVIGNON PYRENEES VIC, priced on the wine list at $42.00.

To update my earlier post, I now find that I use this offer at least twice per month and haven't had an issue for about twelve months. But you must make sure you confirm they are still offering the Citibank offer before you order and check your bill before you pay.

Someone from Citibank AU called me back about my complaint. They're sending me a bottle of wine to make up for it, and wanted to know the details of how the restaurant avoided supplying the wine. She's going to have a chat to them...

Today's statement says that Citibank Bonus Points no longer apply from 1 January 2013:
From 1 January 2013, eligible Rewards credit cardholderswill no longer earn 3 bonus points per $1 spent at CitibankDining Program partner restaurants. However, you willcontinue to receive a free bottle of wine when you dineand pay with your card at those restaurants.

If you are owed the 3 bonus points per dollar, chase them up!

Do I have to pay with CB? I was going to hand over my Amex card and QF card...;)

Interesting experience at Meat & Wine Company the other night - they added the wine to the bill, and said when I pay with a Citibank card, they will remove the charge. I guess they have had too many people ask for the free Citibank wine, and then pay on AMEX.

Sure enough, the bill was adjusted at the time of payment.
