Why anyone chooses to deal with CitiBank I'll never understand. It's guaranteed trouble and simply not worth the drama involved to fight for the points.
IYHO that is Ralphy - IMHO Citi Prestige is best card I have ever had - as a Prestige holder I never get knocked back on any Citi card offer - they can be challenging but they supply me with millions of pts ea year - I LOVE CITI.

I just recently received the prestige card under the same offer that this whole thread is in regards to. So far so good, I'm just hoping I have the same sort of experience as CE.

Well said.

Can't tell enough people or make the message clearer. Do not deal with Citibank. They are a complete nightmare.

Gee - What a surprise.

How long have you waited for the points to transfer?

They are supposed to transfer day after statement close. That was 10 days ago.
Surprise ! Citi said my FF details didnt match.
Reckon it is now sorted. Will see next month

Got my Signature card in early September, spent the required amount and 70K FFP appeared in my Qantas account early October.

I found Citi perfectly decent to deal with. I'd prefer the seamless experience of the entirely online application process experienced with other organisations, however on balance when I consider I earned getting a chunk of QFF points at around a third of the cost of most other current offers I consider it time well spent.

I'll be keeping the card in my wallet until the fee is due, but each to their own.

No luck from my end in getting the points transferred. I received my first statement yesterday and the Redemption Status is showing as Failed when I log in to the Citi site. I had listed my name as Firstname Lastname on the Citi site but that didn't work.

When I look at both my QFF card and log into the QFF site I see a myriad of different name formats displayed in different areas so I'm a little uncertain what is should be. I'll try it as shown on the QFF card and see if that has any luck next month.

This format works without a hitch.

What's this I read? Trouble with CitiBank. Well there's no surprise.

Agreed. Citibank are absolutely beyond doubt the worst of the lot.

Before I shelved my free-for-life signature they couldn't even credit correct reward points (funnily always in their favor). Feel my frustration from below:

Comments:

Hi There,

I have once again noticed my Citibank signature Visa has been credited
incorrect rewards points...

From xx_xx_xx_ statement:

Opening balance – 2xx_xx
Base earned – 7xx_
Available – 3xx_xx

2xx_xx plus 7xx_ equals 3xx_xx not 3xx_xx - missing 5xx_ points (again).

Please credit missing 5xx_ points & provide an explanation on how this
has now occurred twice in the past few months - i can’t understand how a
major bank isn't able to perform basic arithmetic. Do I need to be
concerned that the rest of the statement is incorrect as well?

Please make good on this issue.

Cheers,
xx_xx_

After a few back and forwards the points were credited.

Hopeless.

They actually just called me up unsolicited to confirm my QFF profile name to sort it out. I don't need the points right away and I don't mind making a call or two to get things sorted.... It happens with all CC providers and I'm not personally finding them to be any worse than any of the others. In the last week alone I've had to make calls to AMEX, HSBC & ANZ for various administrative things.

Most of this is on me anyway for flipping cards so often. I haven't experienced the bigger issues some others have and I just put it down to being "part of the game". No biggie:)

What is the four digit biller code for paying off the card?

This format works without a hitch.

I was asked how many name appears on my FF card so I gave them Mr first initial second initial surname.

my points status transfer says rejected so I changed my name to the above format, will see if it comes through in next month.

Also, my 70,000 points did not show in first statement under bonus points (despite me spending over the $3k requirement), is it supposed to show there?

thanks

I got the card 2 months ago. In the first statement cycle, Citibank couldn't transfer the points to my QFF account due to name mismatch. At that time I had Mr Firstname Lastname in my QFF details on the citi site. I have since changed to Mr F Lastname, which matches what is shown on the top header on the QFF site when I log in. And this time, it works and got my 70k bonus.

Hope this helps for those who is struggling with this issue.

Who warned us about Citi's incompetence?

Three times in the space of a month I've had to phone them to (a) enroll in the Qantas rewards program and (b) provide my FF details.

Only 3 times? You got off lightly.
