Yeah certainly not the easiest organisation to deal with... I get where you're coming from. But I've managed to get 210K bonus points plus many others in every day spend over the last 2-3 years and for that I'm happy to deal with them for now.

I've never had a really terrible interaction which has put me off dealing with them totally though and I can see that might be the case with yourself and others.
 
Oh great, this I didnt know, I was planning on paying rates and power with this. I figured BPay was out but going through their websites and paying with a CC surely would count.

I doubt "insurance charges" means paying an insurance premium, more likely credit card insurance (but obviously worth checking).

Although others have complained about the service from Citibank I have been relatively impressed with the security around activating cards and the Snapshot view on the mobile app (account balances without logging in) which I haven't encountered with any other bank apps. Certainly service hasn't been so bad as to not be worth the points, but make sure they enrol you in the right program. They did not have my QFF number (can't recall if I put it in with the application) and I started earning rewards points instead which they found impossible to convert. Luckily I caught it early on.
 
Hi all, where can you see that you've been enrolled in the Qantas rewards program?

I signed up for the card recently and called up to opt-in after activation. Checked my rewards page today and it was showing 1.5pts - $1, so I called up again and they confirmed that my enrolment was unsucessful. The agent on the phone assured me that this time my enrolment to the Qantas rewards program was successful and that the Citi rewards points would be recalculated to QFF. Will see how this pans out...

I also saw earlier in the thread people mentioned they can see their QF details in the rewards page, which page is this?
 
For those who've applied and have been asked to supply pay slips, how many were you asked for? The last two? The last three months?

No. Each time I contacted them (which was a painful process) they denied that I had ever enrolled for Qantas points. In the end I cut my losses and cancelled the card. I wont deal with Citibank ever again. They are truly inept.
 
I had the same problem (as per a couple of posts before your original one) and had my initial points in the wrong program. They assured me yesterday it was fixed. As the rewards points were still showing today I called again but was told the same info (i.e. has been fixed) and that it won't reflect on line until the next billing cycle. So I THINK it is fixed. Painful but should be worth my 70k QFF points.

Never trust Citibank is my advice.

There are far too many other equally as generous offers with financial institutions that aren't nearly as incompetent as citibank for me to ever waste my time with them again.

Agree that Citibank are woeful. I avoid calling them though, if they're reluctant to do something via the internet banking messaging (e.g. add QF details or confirm eligibility) I just insist that I don't have time to wait on hold on the phone and they relent. Haven't spoken to anyone since applying for the latest card, everything communicated via messaging so far.
 
The jury is still out for me. I was wary based on Dr Ralph's advice. My application, card activation etc went smoothly.

My QF points did not post after the first statement. Citi proactively tried twice to call me about it but I was in meetings etc. When I did speak to a CSA, she gave me the date and a reference number for their transfer to QF.

I called QF who confirmed the points were rejected because Citibank had HallidayCaptainMr as my surname, but no first name or title. My QFF number was correct. Now, one might argue QF had sufficient details to credit the points and was being pedantic by rejecting them. Still they sent me back to Citibank.

The Citibank CSA checked and updated my details and said the points would post on the next statement cycle. I'm yet to reach that date. She also offered 500 points for the inconvenience. While I think Citibank should have entered my details correctly the first time, I do understand that mistakes happen. Their service recovery has been good so far and.

Assuming the points post at the end of this month I'll be happy. If not, I might sign up to Dr Ralph's anti-Citi squad. :)

Surname, Firstname, MR

is this correct or should I change it to a more standard format like:
MR Firstname Surname

I see, my name has also been entered as Surname,Firstname,MR. I've since changed it to MR FIRSTNAME SURNAME, however on my QFF card it is shown as MR F SURNAME. Now i'm wondering if it should 100% match the card :confused:
 
Mine was a 100% match at first ie. C Halliday. QF confirmed it's not the name on the card, but the full name on the QFF account that matters.
