I received the 2x lounge passes ages ago, but don't want to pay for flights with the Citi Emirates card ('cause it's gone).

Terms of use state that I can only use the lounge passes if I pay for the flights with my Citi Emirates card.

So here's my question: if I turn up at the lounge with my boarding pass and lounge access card, do they have any way to now how I paid for the flight?

Did you work this one out? What did they do?

I'm keen to give a family member my passes to use as I can't use them (once I receive them from Citi) - do the passes have names/etc printed on them? Did you have to show the credit card?

Sorry I don't know, I never tried it and they've expired now.

I've never seen an Emirates lounge pass but I can't imagine how they could know what method of payment you used. You could have booked your flight via Emirates, Qantas or a travel agent.

From memory they have your name printed on them. They are far less flexible than QF for example. Unsure how they would know if you used your card for purchase
