Hi FF'ers long time no write, I've been busy playing with Casinos in Macau..but that time is almost over. I'd like to treat myself to a few weeks holidays.

Will a Oneworld Circle Pacific be suitable for the following?:

Hong Kong > Manilla > Tokyo > Vancouver > Los Angeles > Sydney

And I'll keep the last Sydney to Hong Kong sector open as late as possible and fly when I have the time. I'm not sure if HKG > MAN > NRT is considered as travelling in the same direction however.

I'm FF Gold but with only 160 SC's earnt this year, and renewal on 31st Dec 07 I just want to scrape through silver!

Thanks all.

HKG,MAN and NRT are all in the north pacific and each sector takes you further east so I would see no problems. It is not as though you have a great choice from MAN so it would fit the rules.

One observation, you will have to route Vancouver-Dallas Fort Worth-LAX, as Circle Pacific fares are only applicable on oneworld operated flights, and Vancouver-LAX direct AA flights are operated by Alaskan. If QF are actually flying Vancouver-San Francisco when you travel that is another option (then onto Sydney, or to connect with SFO-LAX on AA then onto Sydney).

There are NO specific rules regarding 'backtracking' or travel in the same direction.

Here are the most pertinent:
B. For –CIR22 and –CIR26 Fares
Travel must be via the North/Central Pacific in one direction and the South West Pacific in the other
direction or vice versa. Only one North/Central Pacific crossing and one South West Pacific crossing is
permitted. Travel originating in or including South America is not permitted.
For –CIR29SA Fares [n/a here]...
C. Only one Intercontinental departure and one intercontinental arrival permitted in each continent.
Continents are defined as Asia, North America, South America, Southwest Pacific.

Ah ok thanks, Qantas is currently advertising Vancouver to Sydney upto end of January 2008 as their own flights so I think this may work out. We may also be able to go overland form Vancouver to LA courtesy of some eager relatives.

Thanks for the info.
