Is there any interest for dinner/drinks on Friday night in Sydney for the locals & the out-of-towners who arrive for Friday night?

I'll be wandering aimlessly in manly so flag me in, I may be sober.

Depending how late my dinner goes, i'm staying at the Park Hyatt and may be interested in beverages. I'm planning on BYO'ing for the train (Gin, most likely) so if anyone wants a late drink down at the hotel drop me a line.

Are you talking about Friday in Sydney?

Ok I have confirmed everything for my family outing with the AFF crew

Its gwilli1 + 3 ( Dad, brother & nephew) . We will be meeting the train at Central.

Have booked into the Diplomat Hotel in Kingston ( I know its not Crowne Plaza) . Scored a great deal for 4 through Hotelclub.com for $158 for the night thanks to saving 20% just by booking via the Hotelclub.com app ( was $194 , Diplomat direct was $214 )

On the Sunday gwilli1 will be flying back to Sydney on VA647 @ 13.05 , as I have to work that afternoon , while I have booked the +3 on the Southern Explorer (CLK634) leaving Canberra @ 11.40am back to Campbelltown.

It was so much easier when it was only me going :) , but my family are looking forward to the train trip as all 3 have , or are , associated with the railways. Im the avgeek in the family , while they are the railgeeks.

And perhaps those who are waiting for their same-sex marriage don't want the visuals of heterosexual couples on their wedding night either ;)
Yes quite so, what any others are doing in that regard is a bit too visual. Whoever they are I hope they have a happy life.

We are in Car B (the train equivalent of Y) on CLK634, seats 09 & 10.

Will anyone be departing from Canberra on the morning of 14 December for Sydney? We will likely have 2 guest spots for the QF J lounge if anyone needs guesting.

We are flying Virgin from CBR and my guest spot is taken by my +1 :).

I'm feeling like bringing along an eye piece and the trunks my nan used in the 30's! They've seen a lot of action between Sydney and Cootamundra!

Wow! Just noticed Canberra is getting down to 4 - 8 degrees overnight still, methinks warm clothes will be in order!
